# Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of empathylabs.ai and purchases of consulting packages from Empathy Labs LLC ("Empathy Labs", "we", "us"). By using the site or paying for a package, you agree to these Terms.

## Services

We sell fixed-price consulting packages for AI strategy, web development, and product design, as described on [/consulting](https://empathylabs.ai/consulting). Prices are shown in United States dollars (USD). Deliverables for each package are agreed at kickoff, as described on the consulting page.

## Payment

Checkout is processed by PayPal. Card details go to PayPal hosted fields and do not pass through our servers. PayPal's terms and privacy statement apply to payment processing. Each package is a one-time charge in USD. There are no subscriptions, trials, or automatic renewals.

## Scheduling and delivery

After payment you receive a receipt. We reach out within 1 business day to schedule kickoff. Timelines for deliverables are confirmed at kickoff based on your project and the studio calendar.

All packages are professional services delivered online, by video call, email, shared files, or deployed websites and software. Nothing is shipped by mail, so there are no shipping fees.

## Refunds, cancellations, and billing problems

If something looks wrong with a charge, contact us first at mat@empathylabs.ai or +1 347 574 3963 with your receipt number. We answer within 1 business day and will work with you to resolve it.

## Where we can work

We cannot provide services to people or organizations located in countries or regions under United States sanctions, or to anyone on a US government restricted party list.

## Not legal advice

Our work is consulting and creative technology. Justice OS and other studio products may touch legal topics; they are self-help tools, not legal advice or representation.

## Acceptable use

You may not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt checkout or APIs, or use our services for unlawful purposes.

## Disclaimer

Services are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the package that gave rise to the claim, except where a higher limit is required by law.

## Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in California have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the services, except where prohibited.

## Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Material changes apply to new purchases after the update is posted.
